BROWN, ARTHUR LLOYD - Arthur Brown of St. Martins, husband of Priscilla “Pat” (Butland) Brown, passed away November 14, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Saint John, son of the late Lloyd and Alice (MacDonald) Brown. Arthur worked at J. Clark and Sons, Saint John Dry Dock and was an Insurance Appraiser with Angus Miller Insurance. He was a member of St. Martins Baptist Church, Marine Workers Federation Union Local 3, and the Orange Lodge. Arthur enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by Pat, his wife of 58 years; three daughters, Diane Kallar (Lee), Quispamsis, Kimberley Carr (Larry), Edmonton, Kelly Hubbard (Glenn), Saint John; five sons, Stephen A. (Marie), St. Martins, Terrence, St. Martins, Wade (Helen), St. Martins, Eric (Linda), Sussex Corner, Christopher (Sandra Burditt), Upham; one sister, Linda MacDonald (Ian), St. Martins; 25 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Arthur was predeceased by one sister, Dorothy Weston and two brothers, Hallie and Austin Brown.
Resting at St. Martins Baptist Church with visitation on Wednesday from 7 to 9pm and Thursday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral will be held 1:00pm, Friday, November 18, 2011 at St. Martins Baptist Church with Rev. Geoff deJong officiating. Interment in St. Martins Community Cemetery.
