BOYLE (Dorey), Helena Phyllis — 88, Windsor, Hants Co., passed away peacefully Friday, November 4, 2011 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born July 28, 1923 in Westport, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Grace (Gammon) Pugh. Helena was a graduate of Normal School and taught school for many years in Nova Scotia. She was active in church life wherever she lived, including United and Baptist churches. Helena was active as a Leader of CGIT (Canadian Girls In Training). She was an avid hockey and baseball fan, having played baseball in her younger years. Helena was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and daughter. She is survived by her sons, Victor (Nancy) Dorey, Pugwash; Dan (Lori) Dorey, Berwick; grandchildren, Donnie (Sandra), John (Kim), Willie, Matthew (Krista), Marla (Andrew Hartnett), Pearl Myers, Jason (Rina), Shaun (Nicole Barton); great grandchildren, Antonia, Hope, John, Lorali Dorey, Luke Oulton, Luke, Jane and Shaun Myers. Besides her parents, Helena was predeceased by her first husband, Victor “Raymond” Dorey, second husband, John “Jack” Boyle; son, Gregory Dorey (2009); brothers, Allan and William Pugh. Arrangements were entrusted to Lohnes-DeMont Funeral and Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, Rev. Dan Jamer officiating. A reception followed in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre. Following the reception, interment was held in Masons Point Baptist Cemetery, St. Margarets Bay.
