Passed away peacefully at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL on November 14, 2011at the age of 84 years, Karl Andrew Charles McFatridge. Predeceased by his daughter Janet Marie, May 1964. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 60 years Cora; children: Nancy (Rick) Nova Scotia, Wade (Terri), Stephenville, Heather (Larry), Stephenville Crossing, Jeff (Alfreda), Deer Lake, Kerry (Linda), Stephenville; grandchildren: Ian, Kyle, Evan, Michael, Janet, Wendy; sisters: Norma, Melba, USA and a large circle of family and friends. He was a long time businessman in the community. He had a passion for woodworking and find-a-word puzzles. He will be missed by his furry friend Charlie (his cat) who spent many hours curled up next to him. Thanks to the Pallative Care Unit at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, West Street, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will take place from All Saints Anglican Church in Stephenville Crossing on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gwen Butler officiating. Interment will take place following the service in the Anglican Cemetery in Stephenville Crossing. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
