Joyce Elaine Gader (wife of Najie “Norman” Gader) went to be with the Lord November 12, 2011 in Saskatoon, SK. Joyce (nee Smiley) was born June 20, 1935 in Stafford, KS, where she met and married Najie Gader September 26, 1952. She was predeceased by her parents, Hoyt (1995) and Wilma (2007) Smiley; brother, Donald Smiley (1983). Joyce is survived by her husband, Najie “Norman” Gader; children, Steven (Shirley), Debbie (Jerry) Hildebrandt; Linda (Hugh) Henry; David (Jodie Sinnema); grandchildren, Colin (Katherine), Andrea (Don), Matthew (Erica), Jennifer (Jason), Erin (Pete), Kristin (Marc), Derek (Crystal), Mandy (Josephine), Jonathan (Rachel) Gabriella, Samuel Luka; great grandchildren, Conrad, Addisyn, Braiden, Carson, Ella, Tristan, Mattaya, Micah; brothers and sisters, Marilyn Williams (Stafford, KS), Judy (Gary) Osenbaugh (Turon, KS), Jim (Myra) Smiley (Arkansas); numerous other brothers and sisters in law; nieces and nephews. All who knew Joyce remember her faith in God, her prayers, and love for family and friends. What at fun mother and grandma she was to be with! She loved her music, her flowers, family gatherings, baking with her grandchildren, making quilts, going for coffee, enjoying movie nights with fudge cookies, popcorn and coke. The Funeral Service was held at the Church of The Open Bible, Swift Current, SK on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Rob Cochrane officiating. Interment took place in Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK. Memorial donation in honour of Joyce can be made to MS Society Saskatchewan.
