Passed away on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011 at Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, Mary Jessie MacArthur at the age of 94 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Leonard (Anne Marie), Codroy Valley, Francis (Donna) River Ryan, NS, James (Audrey), Leo, Port Au Port, Brian, Codroy Valley, Michael, Scarborough, ON, Loretta (Gerard),Codroy Valley, Richard (Diane), Dryden,ON and Kevin (Mary), Sackville, NS; 22 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; siblings: Marie, Freeman, and Joan; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis; and sons: Ronald and Hugh. Visitation took place from St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Doyles on Thursday from where the funeral service was held on Friday, November 4th at 11:00 A.M. Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment followed at Mt. St. Thomas cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port aux Basques.
