It is with great sadness that the family of the late Aaron Ivan Sheppard announce his passing on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family in his 80th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Vonetta (nee Wells) of 56 years, six children: sons: Gary (Violet), Lawrence (Grace) of Corner Brook, daughters Alice (Dave) of Corner Brook, Susan (Angus) of Ontario, Kim (Darren) of Lark Harbour, Karen (Doug) of Corner Brook; ten grandchildren: Michelle, Cory, Nancy, David, Kellie, Robin, Larry, Kyle, Cody and Aaron; six great-grandchildren: Dawson, Chloe, Michael, Meraide, Nichols, Kaitlyn and Joshua; brother Lawrence (Jean); sister Victoria Travers both of Lark Harbour; sisters-in-law: Sedella Wells and Lucy Sheppard, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: George and Maude Sheppard, brothers: John Sheppard (Elizabeth), Lionel Sheppard, brothers-in-law: Alex Wells and Jack Travers, William and Alice Tapp, Edward and Ann Wells and grandson Jody Penney. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday November 17th, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial Service to be held on Saturday November 19th, 2011 @ 2pm from All Saints Anglican Church Clarence Street, Corner Brook with Rev. Tanya White officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s will be greatly accepted. The family guest book may be signed or memorial donations can be made by visiting or website at www.country-haven.ca. The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of Palliative Care Unit at W.M.R.H, Dr Coleman and Staff and also a very special guardian angel Mary Bennett.
