HASLAM, DAVID - (1944 - 2011) - On November 12th a celebration of David’s life was held in Toronto. Many wonderful stories of his life, humour and generosity were shared. It was a day of sadness and laughter as family, friends and colleagues reflected on their memories of David. David was the founder and publisher of Marquee Magazine and co-author of the book “Movies of the Eighties”. He received his BA Degree from McMaster University. Thirty-nine years later in 2010 he donated Marquees’ voluminous archive of press kits, articles and photographs to the University he loved. He will be fondly remembered by his cousins; Barbara (Haslam) Gilliland, Fred (Bucky) Haslam and their families as well as children of Robert Haslam.
