Rene Joseph Bourque, age 93, of Summerside, formerly of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I., on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009. Born in Cap-Pele, he was the son of the late Dominique and Georgina (Donnelle) Bourque. He is predeceased by his wife, Adrienne (Babineau) Bourque, his brothers, Arthur and Tilmon, and his sister, Ida (Alphonse) LeBlanc. He is survived by his son, Val (Janet) Bourque, Goose Bay, his daughters, Doris ( Barrie) Dennis, Dartmouth, and Lillian ( Mike) Ryan, Summerside, his nephew, Rene (Leigh) LeBlanc, Moncton, his niece, Alphonsine (Larry) Hicks, Riverview, his grandchildren, Heather, Shawn, Mark, Jason, Glen, Stephen and Andrew, his grandnephews Darren, Craig, Jeffrey and Andre, and several great-grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, N.B., (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, from noon until the time of the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday from the Jones Funeral Home, Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Cap-Pele Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to your charity of choice would be appreciated.
