GREER, INA - Ina D. Greer, age 83, of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Drew Nursing Home on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Born in Middle Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Harris and Lavinia (Somers) Estabrooks. Ina graduated from Mount Allison University with a degree in Fine Arts in 1948 then worked at the Sackville Tribune Press. She went out west for a few years where she worked as a graphic artist for Eatons. She returned to work at Mount Allison University, and in 1971 went to Queen's University in Northern Ireland to take her Librarian Degree, returning to work as Librarian at Mount Allison University. She was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, and the Anglican Church Women. Ina was the last surviving member of her immediate family, survived by a cousin Irma Northrup, New Hampshire and several second cousins and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB where visiting hours will take place on Friday from 2 to 4 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 2 pm, Archdeacon Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial will take at the Sackville Cemetery.
