We are sorry to announce the passing of Mary Reich on the 2nd of November, 2011, at the Cypress Regional Health Centre. Mary is survived by her husband Don of 53 years; sister Liz (Frank) Urlacher; brother Bill (Mary) Eckel; brother Bert (Liz) Eckel; son Bryan (Emily); daughter Janet (Les) Toth; grandsons Monty (Kari), Jeff (Kendel) Travis (Hallie), Jodi (Troy); and three great grandchildren, Cade, Jace and Janay. She is predeceased by her parents Maria and Wilhelm Eckel and brothers Wenzel, Sigmund, and Lawrence. Mary was a CNA for over 30 years and was well respected throughout her nursing career. She truly enjoyed her job and co-workers. She loved spending time with her family, as they meant a great deal to her. Over the years her hobbies were crocheting, sewing, gardening, reading and playing cards. She enjoyed listening to country music and especially liked Danny O’Donnel, whom she went to see a number of times. She will be missed by both her family and friends. At her request there will be no funeral, there will be, however, a memorial at a later date. In Mary’s memory donations to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
