Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family in his 77th year on October 30, 2009 at the L.A. Miller Centre after a courageous battle with cancer. Leaving to mourn his sister Marilyn Kearley and husband Nelson (St. John’s); brother Lewis Goodyear and wife Eileen (Orangeville, Ont.); nieces: Andrea Laurie (Scott), Susan Kearley, RaDeane Montgomery (Brian), Larissa Goodyear, and Rennée Mercer; nephews: Robert Smith, Donald Kearley and Matthew Goodyear; also other relatives and friends. A very special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Barrett’s Chapel.
