BISHOP, FENTON RUDOLPH - The passing of Fenton Rudolph Bishop of Lakeville Corner NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Friday, November 18, 2011. He was 82. Born in Chipman NB, he was a son of the late Rudolph and Ida (Chase) Bishop. United by faith, Fenton was an avid Salmon Fly fisherman having fished on the South West branch of the Mirimichi and was also quite a story teller during the “on the point” get togethers telling stories of the Lumber Camps and the good ole days in Chipman. Survived by his partner and soul mate Liz Simms of Lakeville Corner, one son Thomas Bishop and Penny of Harvey NB, four brothers Ronald Bishop of Calgary Alberta, Allison Bishop of Cornwall Ontario, Ernest Bishop (Marjorie) of Chipman, NB, Keith Bishop (Annette) of Hamilton Ontario, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Anis West, second wife Annie J Bishop, one daughter, Bettianne Vail and one brother Floyd Bishop.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road where visitation will take place on Sunday, November 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PP. A funeral service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 21 at 11AM with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. A private family Interment will follow in the Red Bank Cemetery in Chipman. Pallbearers for the service will be Tom Arnold, Doug Johnson, John Taylor, Phillip Hall, Jack Graves and Andrew Haines.
