MYRICK, Peter R. (February 23, 1939 - November 17, 2011) — It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Peter R. Myrick, near his home at St. Shott’s, on Thursday, November 17, 2011. He is Predeceased by parents John & Mary, brother Michael, nephew George, niece Yvonne, parents-in-law George & Elizabeth Finlay, brothers-in-law: Philip Finlay, David Finlay and Thomas Finlay and sisters-in-law Mary (William Lewis) and Josephine (Harris Bowering). Leaving to mourn Theresa, his loving wife of 43 years, daughters Karen (Derwin Molloy) and Trudy (Gary Finlay) and sons Rick and Peter. Also leaving with happy memories are his three grandchildren, who were his pride and joy: Darcy, Karissa and Brittany, sister: Mary (Tom), brother: John (Barbara), sisters-in-law: Elizabeth (Ron), Regina (Fabian), Ann, Marie (Don) and Cecilia, brother-in-law Bill (Muriel), godchild Michelle, as well as many nieces, nephews and a large circle of caring friends. Peter will be fondly remembered for his life’s profession as a Lighthouse Keeper. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Church, St. Shott’s, on Saturday, November 19, from 7:30-9 p.m. and Sunday, November 20, 10 a.m.– 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 21, at 11 a.m. Burial to follow.
