LOWE, Alice Elizabeth-54, of Patterson St., Pictou, passed away November 18, 2011 in the Palliative Care Unit of Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Anne (MacDonald) MacGillivary, New Glasgow, and the late Blaise MacGillivary.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; son, Paul (Rebecca); granddaughters, Brianna and Kindra, all of Pictou; sister, Norma DeCoste, Trenton; brothers, Danny (Laura), Westville; Hubert (Valerie), New Glasgow; Ian (Susan), Gagetown, NB; Blaise (Beverley), New Glasgow; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Lowe, Pictou; brother-in-law, Harold (Cis), MacLellan’s Mountain; nieces, Annie & Janice; nephews, Scott & Joe; great nieces, Jillian, Elizabeth and Makayla. Besides her father, she was predeceased by sister-in-law, Lynn MacGillivary and brother-in-law, John DeCoste.
Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral mass will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, with Father Gerald Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
