Ralph Manzer
The death of Ralph (Doe) Harold Manzer, 80, of Amherst occurred peacefully on Saturday morning, November 19, 2011 at Gables Lodge, Amherst while surrounded by his loving family.
Born in St. Stephens, NB on September 11, 1931, he was a son of the late Ralph and Ida (Johnson) Manzer.
In his earlier years, Doe worked for a local bakery in Amherst delivering baked goods in the area and later was employed with Scotsburns Dairy in Amherst delivering milk. Doe also was known working for several oil companies in the Amherst area transporting furnace oil to numerous homes as well as industries.
Doe will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife the former, Marjorie Gouchie; daughter, Sherry (Russell Scott) Manzer, Nappan; sons, Larry (Kelly), Springhill and John (Mary Lynn), Edmonton, AB; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Lorna), Truro; as well as two nieces; two nephews; and extended family.
As per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating.
