The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, November 20, 2011, of Augustine "Gussie" MacDonald of Kensington, aged 88 years.
Born in Kensington, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Kelly) MacDonald. Survived by his sister Patricia Brennan, Kensington; brother, John (Marsha) MacDonald, Hamilton, ON; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Mary (Adolphus) MacKinnon; sister, Lucy, and brother, Peter MacDonald in infancy; and by his brother-in-law, Alfred Brennan.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to the Church of the Holy Family, Kensington, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Indian River. Visiting hours Tuesday from 7-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or to St. Mary's Cemetery, Indian River, would be appreciated.
