At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 of Phyllis Mary Pitre of Charlottetown and formerly of Tignish Shore, age 48 years. Dear daughter of Doris Pitre. Predeceased by her father Joseph Pitre.
Special loving sister of Albert (Emelda Anne), St. Felix; Florence Gallant (Clarence), North River; Vincent (Paulette), Emyvale; Paul (Nancy), Kildare Capes; Anita MacDonald (Leo), Hampshire; Ida Kenna (Bernie), Charlottetown; Thelma Meney (Robert), Bunbury and Jean Sinclair (Scott), Kingston. Lovingly remembered by 18 nieces and nephews. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Thursday at 10 a.m., then to St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cornwall for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Simon and St. Jude Parish Cemetery, Tignish, at 4:00 p.m. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations may be made to the I.W.K. or P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre of the QEH.
