Passed away peacefully, at home with family, on Monday, November 21, 2011, at the age of 95.
Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee O’Neil) Dyet (1973). Loving father of Darlene and Mary of Waterloo.
Predeceased by his parents, William and Elizabeth Dyet; brothers, William, Robert, James and Johnson; and sisters, Helen Comar and Jean Dyet.
John was born in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and retired from Levatte’s Construction, where he worked for 24 years. In his younger years, he worked in coal mines at Indian Cove, Tomson and Franklin Mines.
John’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Sydney Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday 10 a.m., with Rev. Robert Lyle officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
