Peacefully at South Shore Villa on Tuesday, Nov. 25, of John A. (Jackie) MacDonald of Borden-Carleton, age 85 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Survived by his wife, Irene (Allen) MacDonald. Also survived by children Trena (late Bill) Oakley of Scarborough, Ont.; Charles (Marilyn) MacDonald of Borden-Carleton; Mary (Rick) Nelson Toronto, Ont., and Robert (Julie) MacDonald of Borden-Carleton. Survived by grandchildren, Mary (Billy)MacDonald-Pickering, Bobby MacDonald, Sherry (Shane) Nelson-Tynes, Ricky (Tracy) Nelson, Kelly (Chris) Hunter, Steven (Crystal) Hunter, Steven (Chelsey) Oakley, John Oakley and Christie Oakley. Survived by nephews Charlie and Ronnie Roberts and great-niece Shani and 20 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by children John Kenneth and Carolyn Ann, sisters Jean, Mary and Annie and brother Ronald and by parents Charles E. and Millie. Remains resting at Lawless Funeral Home, 21 Somerset St., Kinkora. Funeral Friday, November 28 at St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay with funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, Nov. 27, 7 to 9 pm only. Donations in Jackie's memory may be made to the Hearing Impaired Society. Please refrain from wearing all scents and perfumes. Branch # 10 Royal Canadian Legion, Borden will conduct a Legion service at 6:30 pm on Thursday.
