Peacefully, at the Western Hospital, Alberton, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, of Margaret Mary Perry of the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, and formerly of Pleasant View, age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Perry, who predeceased her on Sept. 18, 2009. Born in Skinners Pond on Nov. 3, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (nee Handrahan) Bernard. Loving mother to Sheila (Clair) Gallant of Alberton, Ralph (June) of Tignish, Clayton (Hazel) of DeBlois, Leigh (Christine) of Pleasant View, Wanda (Jerry) Saunders of Alberton and Justin of Pleasant View. She will be sadly missed by her 25 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and by her 16 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a son-in-law, Michael Kinch of Alberton. Dear sister to Lillian Rayner of Covehead, Shirley (Wilfred) McCue of Tignish, Omer (Dorothy) Bernard of Skinners Pond. She is also survived by the following sisters- and brothers-in-law: Gerald Gaudet, Alyre Perry, LeRoy (Carol) Perry, Francis Perry, Gerard (Shirley) Perry, Lester (Martha) Perry, Alfred Weatherbie, Joseph Keene, Cecilia (Junior) Smith, Orella Gauthier, Carol Perry, Edith Perry,Jim Gauthier. She was predeceased by the following family members: her daughter, Sadie Kinch, her grandchildren, Phillip Kinch, Michelle Kinch, Ronnie Kinch, Darryl Gallant. Her son-in-law, Glendon Pedersen, her sisters, Julia (Raeburn) Bryan, Amy (Arnold) McCallum, Esther (Nelson) Gaudet, Elsie (Henry) McCallum, Vida Gaudet, Elliot (Beatrice) Bernard, Stepbrother, Jimmy (Mildred) Benoit, brothers-and-sisters in-law: George Rayner, Henry Perry, Melvin (Florence)Perry, Alcide Perry, Ernest (Barbara Ann) Perry, Arthur (Margaret) Perry, Mary Weatherbie, Rita (Amie) Arsenault, Anne Keene. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Maplewood Manor Residence Fund or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully appreciated.
