FRAUGHTON, Adèle Marie – 73, Small Gaines Road, Arcadia, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 1, 1938 in Hubbard’s Point, she was a daughter of the late Jean S. “Jack” and Mary M. (Boudreau) Doucette. Adèle was a homemaker and a caregiver, a loving and kind-hearted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Surviving are her children, Joe (Donna), Dawson City, Yukon; Wayne (Maja), Moose Creek, Yukon; Barry (Cindy), Brown’s Arm, Newfoundland; Sherry (Karl) Goudey, Brenton and Ray (Melisca), Arcadia, as well as 12 loving grandchildren and a great grandson. Also surviving are sisters, Jeanette (Warren) Deveau, Springdale and Marion Doucette, Hubbard’s Point, as well as several nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Stanley J. Fraughton; a son, Arthur; sisters, Catherine Melanson and Annie Robichaud. There was no visitation by request. A funeral mass was held on Saturday, November 26, at 1 p.m. at Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father John MacPherson officiated. Cremation followed, and interment took place in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Ambrose Parish. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to H. M.
