Margaret MacNeil

The funeral of the late Margaret Louise “Margie” MacNeil, under the direction of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, took place on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Daniel Church, Sydney, NS. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated by Fr. Donald MacGillivray. St. Anthony Daniel Choir provided the music for the service. Passages were read by niece Liza Boulter and caregiver Sheri Trask. The intentions were read by grandson Michael MacNeil. The Eucharistic minister was niece Catherine Moore. The pallbearers were grandson Michael MacNeil; nephews Brian Bates, Scott Johnston, Brian Moore; family friends Dave MacLean, Dave Trask.
We, the family of the late Margaret Louise “Margie” MacNeil, would like to thank all those wonderful relatives, friends and neighbors who extended their love, support and friendship to our family during our recent loss, especially those who travelled long distances. To all those who prepared and sent food, flowers, memorial donations, mass cards, sympathy cards, e-mails, visited the funeral home and phoned our home, we are sincerely grateful. To Dr. Kodagoda, the nurses and staff of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, many thanks. A special thank you to Sheri Trask who so compassionately cared for all of Margie’s needs over the last number of years. To the CBDHA Continuing Care Department, the VON and the Home Care workers, who so diligently supported and assisted in Margie’s care, our sincere gratitude. Thank you to Fr. Donald MacGillivray for celebrating over such a beautiful and personal service. Your love, support and kindness will never be forgotten. A sincere thank you to the St. Anthony Daniel Choir who did such a wonderful job at the service. To the readers, pallbearers, Eucharistic minister and altar servers, our many thanks. We are truly grateful to Billy Curry and the staff of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel for their professional guidance and compassion.
