BREWSTER, MILDRED PAULINA - 1932-2011 - Mildred Paulina Brewster, 79, of Forest Dale Home, Riverside- Albert passed away peacefully on November 26th at her residence with her family by her side. Mildred was born in Apple River, NS on April 11, 1932 the daughter of the late Guy and Emily (Wilson) Elderkin. She worked in nursing until her retirement. Mildred was a very kind, gentle woman who always had a sweet smile. She was a member of the Friendship Senior Citizens and also was involved with the Forest Dale Home Ladies Auxiliary. Mildred was always there when needed she was a truly special lady and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Even in her last years as she struggled with Alzheimer's, she would try and help at the nursing home, doing all she could for others. She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Norman Brewster of London, ON and Grant Brewster of Georgetown, ON; by her five precious grandchildren; sisters, Fern LeBlanc of PEI and June Cormier of Forest Dale Home; brothers, Bill Elderkin (Golda) of Riverside-Albert and sister-in-law, Grace Elderkin of Riverside-Albert. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arden Brewster; son, Ross; sisters, Zenith Elliott, Clara McNutt , Carolyn Palmer and Dorothy Copp-Wilt ; brothers, Clifford, Verdon, Sherman, Douglas, Wyman and Edward.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday, November 29 at 2pm to 4pm. The Funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 29 at 7pm with Rev. Oldford officiating. Interment will be held in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey, NB. For those who wish donations to the Bayview Cemetery or Forest Dale Home would be greatly appreciated by the family.
