It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Dorcus King announces her passing on Saturday November 26, 2011 at the Health Science Center, St. John's NL at the age of 66 years. Born at LePoile NL, Mildred was the daughter of the late John and Adelaide (Bond) Vautier, she was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1995, brothers Walters, Albert, Chesley, sisters Carrie and Amy, brothers-in-law Jack Leriche, Max Stone, Richard Blackmore, sisters-in-law Gertie Blackmore and Loretta Vautier. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving family, daughter Cathy (Edward) Edmunds, 3 sons, Jackie (Colleen) King, Jamie (April) King, Christopher (Sharon) King all of Burnt Islands, grandchildren Adam, Geniene, Jenna, Gina, Janelle, Chantel, Cassandra, Christopher, 2 sisters, Kathleen Leriche Port aux Basques, Sybil (Gerald Wayne) King Burnt Islands,2 brothers, Hubert (Shirley) Vautier, Gerald Vautier (Debbie Ryan) , Max (Clare) Vautier of Margaree, sisters-in-law Susie Thorne Burnt Islands, Edna Vautier, Lois Vautier of Margaree, brothers-in-law Gilbert Riles Port aux Basques, George (Katie) King Geary, NB, special friend Jessie Pike Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many many friends. Visitation took place on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at the family residence in Burnt Islands. Funeral services took place on Thursday December 1, 2 PM at St. George's Anglican Church Burnt Islands, officiated by Rev. Kris Gosse.
