Evelyn "Ruth" Ross, 89, of Church Street, Westville, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011 in the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in Westville, Ruth was the only child of the late James and Jean (Reynolds) Fraser.
She was an active member of St. Paul United Church, Westville, until her illness. She was a long time employee of Sobey's Head Office, Stellarton. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling to various areas around the world. A devoted daughter, she cared for her mother in her later years. She is survived by many cousins.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her step-father John Hamilton, and her husband John Ross.
There will be no visitation. Her funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday from St. Paul United Church, Westville with Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Reception will follow the funeral service in the church hall. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Valley.
