Born in Knutsford on Dec. 8, 1915, the daughter of the late George and Janet (Gillis) Ramsay. Cherished mother of Freda (Gerald) Shaw, O'Leary; Betty (Melbourne) MacKinnon, Summerside; Hazel (Charles) Harris, Cornwall; Shirley (Bob) Matheson, O'Leary; Hatfield, O'Leary; Nancy (Glen) Betts, Glenwood, and mother in law of Ralph McWilliam, Cornwall. Loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Warner (Ruby) Ramsay, Rawdon, N.S.; Gladys (Weldon) Tupper, Dartmouth, N.S.; and Irva Smith, Brampton, Ont. Sister-in-law of Ralph Branscombe, Mass. Predeceased by daughter, Lila MacWilliam; sisters Jennie, in infancy; Georgie, Edith, Myrtle, Elsie, Ella, and Elaine. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday at Ferguson Funeral Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
