(1920-2011). With gratitude for a long, full life, Olive (Toope) Parsons passed away on November 29th, 2011. Predeceased by her husband, Captain Peter Parsons. She leaves family who will miss her greatly, daughters: Brenda (Michael Newton), Jean Babstock, Heidi (Derek Janes), and Susan (Robert Bishop); grandsons: Ian Newton, Steven (Nicola) Babstock, Peter Babstock, and Matthew Janes (Sandra Wright); and great-grandsons: Gavin and Cameron Babstock. Cremation has taken place. The family welcomes visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, December 1, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. James United Church, Elizabeth Avenue, on Friday, December 2, 2:30 pm. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
