It is with great sadness the family of the late Curtis Chambers of Bear Cove, NL, announce his passing on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Shirley; children Roland (Gladys), Emelene (Mark), Curtis (Leah), Blanche (Albert), Oswald, Terrance (Karen), Louise (Marvin), and Mary (Ronald); grandchildren Tanya, Roland, Deno, Sylvia, Paula, Brendan, Bradley, Brandon, Gavin, Ryan, Danika, Jonathan, Megan, and Sandi; great-grandchildren Britney, Zachary, Abby, Ashley, Brady, Brooke, Brianna, Jada, Brandon, Jagger, and Jackson; sister Mabel; brothers-in-law Cyril, Earl, and Robert, and a large of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Calvin, parents John and Edna Chambers, sisters Minnie, Bertha, Marion, Ethel and Olga, brothers-in-law Rendell, Oswald and Roland. Cremation took place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena. Memorial service was held on Thursday, Nov. 24 at the Anglican Church in Bear Cove. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
