It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Mary Carmella Cadden 87, on Monday November 16th, 2009 at the Maple Hill Manor New Waterford.
Born and raised in New Waterford Carmella was the daughter of the Late Charles and Kathleen (Wall) Fortune. Carmella was a resident for many years at the Maple Hill Manor. She worked at one time at the Point Edward Hospital, Carmella was a very quiet and private person, who enjoyed her family and friends.
She leaves to mourn her passing; her daughter, Isabel ( Alex) Mac Isaac; sisters, Eileen Rockett, Jenny Fortune all of New Waterford; brother, Joseph Fortune ,Montreal. Also left to mourn are her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Edward Cadden; daughter, Eileen Cadden; sisters Evelyn, Hazel and brother Bernie.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held on Thursday November 19th, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford with Deacon Leo Penny officiating. Interment will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Scotchtown.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Carmella’s memory to the Maple Hill Manor.
