The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, of John Paton, of Tupper Drive, Summerside, aged 89 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in Rollo Bay, he was the son of the late Andrew and Jane (Chaffey) Paton. Beloved husband of Margaret (Dawson) Paton; and father of Garry (Phyllis), Doug (Linda) and Jody (Bernard) Reeves. Survived by his grandchildren Alicia, Julia, Lance, Patrick, Brittany, Danny, Kassidy, Olivia and Lisa. Predeceased by brothers Andrew “Bud” and George; and sisters Jessie Campbell and Flora Neale. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where a private family service will be held on Monday. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. No visiting hours by personal request. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army or International Children’s Memorial Place would be appreciated.
