Our hearts are broken and our lives have been changed forever.
We sorrowfully announce that after a very short battle with cancer Marg was called home to her eternal rest on Nov. 7, 2009. Her husband and family were by her side.
Marg was the daughter of the late George and Jean (Poirier) Donovan. She was also predeceased by her baby daughter, Jean Danielle and her sister, Mary Devison.
Left to mourn are the love of her life, her husband, Bobby and their children, Joey (Isabelle), Ann Louise (Keith) Mercer, Blaise (Cathy) and Russell (Wendy). Her grandchildren were cherished. Samantha, Dresden, Nicholas, Barrett, Rachel and Callie will miss their nan’s love, guidance and humour.
No one will ever take her place in the hearts of her brothers and sisters, Sr. Ellen Donovan, Blaise (Sheila), Jean Marie Doherty, Rita Mullins and Trish (Tommy) MacDonald and their families.
Many relatives and friends will miss the loyalty they could count on from Marg, especially Bella Warren.
Marg was very active in her community and really enjoyed darts and tarabish.
She will be remembered as a very caring and unselfish person who worked tirelessly to help anyone in need. Canada 125 Medal was bestowed upon her as a testament to her endless volunteer work.
No visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. We will celebrate her life 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10 at St. John’s Church, New Aberdeen, with Fr. Leo Boone officiating. A reception in her honour will follow at the Hub Club.
No flowers by request.
