MUNN, BENJAMIN “BENNY” - Benjamin “Benny” Munn passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 2, 1942 in Hayesville, NB, he was the son of Perley and Nancy Munn. Benny was a country boy at heart, staying close to his birthplace and family. When Benny wasn’t working in the woods, he could be found relaxing and whistling in his window front rocking chair. Benny is survived by his children, Leroy (Marsha) Munn of Bloomfield Ridge, NB and Angela (Phil) Duncan of Ontario; grandchildren, Eddie Peterson, Corey Munn, Matthew Munn, Blaze Munn and Spencer Duncan; great grandchildren, Trinity, Kayden and another on the way; sisters, Ruby (Bobby) Goodfellow, Julie Price, Helen (Raymond) Storey and Margaret Donnelly; brother, Melvin (Lorna) Munn and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Benny was predeceased by sisters, Isabel (Elec) Munn, Josephine Henchel and Dottie Beek and brother, Nelson Munn.
Visitation will take will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Saturday, December 03, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, December 04, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. John Nickerson officiating. Interment will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with the funeral expenses.
