HORNCASTLE, B. ANN - It is with great sadness that the family of Ann Horncastle announce her death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Friday, December 2nd, 2011. Born in Perth, NB on January 14th, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Louise (Baird) Wright and the wife of Paul Horncastle of Fredericton. Ann leaves behind her husband, Paul; sons, Marc, Eric (Audrey), Kirk (Michele) and Peter (Susan); sister, Linda (Paul) Brown; grandchildren, Erin, Shauna, Colin, Kristian, Andrew, Jeremy, Ian and Allie; great grandchildren, Corey, Ann, Daynah and Calum; brother in law, Travis (Nellie) Horncastle; sister in law, Barbara Ann (Rolf) Woerz; aunt, Maxine Phinney and family; uncle, Jerry Lockhart and family; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elwood and Louise, Ann was predeceased by her brother, John. Ann, also known as "Nanny" was dedicated to her family and a mother to everyone. She was a member of the Fredericton Society of St. Andrew.
Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York St., on Monday, December 5th from 7 to 9 pm. The memorial service will be held at the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Doug Blaikie officiating. Interment will take place in the spring.
