The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, of Roy Jeffery of Summerside, aged 82 years. Born in Roxbury, he was the son of the late Levi and Sarah “Sadie” (Gallant) Jeffery. Survived by his wife Margaret (Kinch) Jeffery; children Leroy (Susan), Lillian (Carl) Deighan, Jim and Beverley Jeffery; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; stepchildren Liz (Ron) Kelly and Joan (Dave) Miller; four step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; brothers Albert (Marjorie) and Junior (Grace); sisters Eileen Arsenault and Rosie Lavigne; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Jack, Billy, Leonard and Leo; and sisters Mary, Hannah, Florence and Sophie. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance, at the funeral home, Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.
