Vivian Louise Lyons

LYONS, VIVIAN LOUISE - It is with great sadness that the family of Vivian Louise Lyons (Amos) announces her death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Born in Carroll’s Crossing, NB on July 31, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Kate Amos. Vivian is predeceased by her husband Paul H. Lyons as well as her siblings-Wendell, Sterling, Bob, Shirley, Cleve, Gertrude and Erma. She leaves behind her sons Gary (Claire) of Tennessee and Kirk (Dianne) of Doaktown, five grandchildren- Debbie, Denise, Darin, Julie and Stephanie, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Vivian worked in her earlier years as a store clerk at Attridges’ Store in Doaktown, as a hair dresser’s assistant, and she sold Fuller Brush Products. She was also a volunteer on the St. John Ambulance in Doaktown. She was a founding member and long time Sunday school teacher at the Wesleyan Methodist (Former Reformed Baptist) Church in Doaktown. Visitation will take place at Davidson’s Funeral Home in Doaktown on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held to celebrate her life on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at the Doaktown Wesleyan Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Treese officiating and Pastor David Storey assisting. Honorary pallbearers will be Edison Carroll, Sterling Amos, Merrill and Bliss Spencer and all her special home care workers. Pallbearers will be Vaughn Carroll, Russell Storey, Gerald Weaver, Jerry Stillwell, Robbie Amos and Gregory Amos. Interment will follow at the Wesleyan Cemetery in Doaktown.
