TRENTON – Marion Joyce (MacGillivray) Murray, of Grandview Ave., Trenton, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Hugh D. and Loretta May (Hardy) MacGillivray.
Joyce in her 79th year was the loving wife of 49 years of Weldon Murray; loving mother of daughters, Janice Murray and Carolyn Murray, both of Trenton; son, Ross (Dorothy) Murray, Belleville, ON; granddaughters, Jessica, Belleville, ON; Melissa Kaups (Paul), Toronto, ON. She is also survived by sisters: Connie Fulton (Allan), Stellarton; Mary Lou MacKenzie (Barry), Antigonish; Ann Duggan, Westville; Jean MacLeod, Truro; Vera Crockett, Ottawa, ON; Rita Leavitt, Bowmanville, ON; long-time friend, Phyllis Walters (Stu), New Glasgow.
Joyce was predeceased by sisters, Ruth MacDonald and Margaret Linton, brothers, Doug and Arthur MacGillivray.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating. Burial will be in Telford Cemetery.
