Zack Hicke passed away peacefully at Providence Place on December 4th, 2011 at the age of 87. Zack was born and raised in Spring Valley. He farmed and retired to Moose Jaw in 1985. Zack was proud of his sons and dearly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He spent many hours gardening and doing crafts. He enjoyed playing cards and going for coffee with friends. He will be remembered for his friendly nature and sense of humour. Zack is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gertie; his sons: Jerry (Leona), Glen (Rosanna), Ralph (Lorna) and Kelvin (Jo-Anne); 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; his sister, Theresa; sisters-in-law: Grace, Edna, Theresa and Lillian; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Father Louis Nguyen will officiate and interment will take place in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zack’s name to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1H3.
