Gertrude Winnifred Legge (nee Fost)

1917-2011 – In the early morning hours of December 6, 2011, Gertrude Legge of Heart’s Delight, died peacefully at Saint Luke’s Nursing Home, with her daughter at her side.
Predeceased by her husband, Edmund, her parents, Joseph and Janet, her brother Roy, and her sisters Nellie and Maud. She is survived by her three children: Clayton (Ruth), Coldbrook, N.S., Janet (Bob Crocker), Conception Bay South, and David (Pauline), St. Lucia; seven grandchildren: Jayne, Carol, Diane, Susan, Penney, Andrew, and Christopher; seven great-grandchildren; and her youngest sister, Phyllis (Max Stone), Brittania.
Gertie was a life long member, and Past Provincial Grand Mistress, of the LOBA.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Wednesday, December 7, from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, December 8, from 2-5 p.m., and at the Parish Hall, Islington, on Friday, December 9, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Funeral service will take place from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Heart’s Delight, on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
A reception will follow immediately at the Parish Hall, Islington.
