Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, on December 8th, 2011, Lawrence Whitfield Smith, of St. John’s. Predeceased by his brothers: Lindo, Hayward, Herven and Willis, his sister Lydia. Loved and missed by his wife Susie (Bowering) and daughter Dawne; brother George (Jean); sisters-in-law: Margaret Bowering and June Smith; nieces, nephews, many other family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Friday from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10th, 2011, from Gower Street United Church.
