Gundi was born in Regensburg, Germany. She came to Canada in 1956 with her husband Heinrich and 2 children, Barbara and Erdmann. They lived in Vancouver until 1960, then moving to Lillooet where Gundi began teaching at the high school. She retired after 20 years and lived the rest of her life in her Texas Creek home where she enjoyed working in her garden and orchard, traveling and weaving.
She was predeceased by her husband Heinrich, brother Hugo, sisters Emma and Karoline, and grandson Parrish.
She leaves behind her 2 children, 6 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
