BRUN, HERMÉLIA - 1924 – 2011 - Hermélia Brun, 87 of Auberge du Soleil, Dieppe and formerly of Bouctouche passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 at the University Hospital Center Dr Geroges L Dumont, Moncton. She was married to the late Alfred Melanson (1978) and the late Alfred Brun (2010). Born in Bouctouche on August 16th, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and the late Emma (Goguen) Collette. She will be sadly missed by her six children; Andréa Petitpas (Armand) of Saint-Anselme, Lucie Connell (Terry) of Edmonton, Denyse of Dieppe, Yvon of Saint-Antoine, Roger (Janice) of Bouctouche and Gerald (Bernadette) of Bouctouche, three step-children, Bernie Brun and Lisa LeBlanc of Bouctouche and Lorna Brun of Sorel Qué., several grandchildren/step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren/step great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn - four sisters; Fernande, Marie and Cécile of Bouctouche, Laurise of Québec and a brother John (Noella) of Bouctouche, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons; Gerard and Fidèle, one daughter Freda, one sister, Aldéa and five brothers; Ami, Gerald, Donel and two in infancy.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funerals Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday, December 12th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 11:00 am to 12:45. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday, December 13th, 2011 at 1:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery. In Hermélia’s memory donations can made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation “Geriatric Department”.
