The death occurred peacefully with her husband of 55 years by her side at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I., on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011 of Mary Louise Arsenault (nee Gallant) of Summerside and formerly of Miscouche, aged 72 years. Mary was born on Nov. 29, 1939 in Miscouche, P.E.I., to her late parents Wesley and Lillian Mary Gallant. Beloved wife of Roy Arsenault and loving mother of Rose Ann Hicken (Darren) of Kensington, Merna Arsenault (Ray) of Summerside and Danny (Karen) of New Annan. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Mitchell, Kayla and John, one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and son-in-law Roy Arsenault of Summerside. Survived by her brothers and sisters: Danny Gallant of Summerside, Alfred (Laura) Gallant of St. Eleanors, Pauline Reivonen of Edmonton, AB, and Janet (Ian) Crockett of N.S. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by two siblings in infancy and her brother-in-law Robert Reivonen. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, Dec. 14, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening only, 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations in Mary’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.
