It is with great sadness that the families of Edgar W Barnes announce his sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, N.L., on Saturday, December 10th, 2011 at the age of 83 years, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children; Barbara (Mac Jenkins) of Summerford, N.L., Alice (Roy Gardner) of Corner Brook, N.L., Cindy (Phonse Murray) of Brampton, Ont, & Brian Barnes of Winnipeg, his 6 grandchildren; Peter (Wanda), Jake (Nicole), John (Dawn), Harry, Carla (Christen), & Amanda (Troy), his 8 great grandchildren; Matthew, Brittany, Mercedes, Melissa, Hayley, Jessica, Faith, & Harmony, his sister in laws; Mary Barnes, Ena (Jerry), Marge, & Ada, his brother in laws; Bern, Laurie (Elizabeth), Gordon (Beryl), & Lloyd. Also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. Edgar was predeceased by his wife; Audrey H. nee Hutchcroft, his parents father; Isaac Barnes, & mother; Janet nee Watkins. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, N.L., today Monday, December 12th, 2011, from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 13th, 2011, at 2 p.m from the Salvation Army Church in Deer Lake, with Majors: Wayne & Betty Ann Pike officiating with the burial to follow at the Salvation Army church cemetery section of Wights Road, Deer lake, N.L.
