CLARK, Mary Gladys – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, November 9, 2009, Mary Gladys Clark in her 87th year. Predeceased by her son Vernon (1970) and husband Eliol (2005). Also predeceased by her parents James and Ethel Simmons and brothers and sisters: John, Jim, Fred, Laura Belle, Evelyn and Bina. Leaving to mourn sons: Rex (Heather), Morris (Joyce); grandchildren: Jonathan (Sarah), Tristy (Nancy), Sam, Colin (Karen), Jo-Anna and Ian; great-grandchildren: Bella, Jasper and Althia. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Maude Blundell (Ralph), Hickman’s Harbour, Mabel Marsh, Toronto, Lizzie Ivany, Lower Lance Cove and a large circle of nephews, nieces and friends. Special thanks to the doctors and staff of 5 South A cardiac ward at the Health Sciences Centre and special thanks to all her friends and support workers at Hillcrest Estates, Mount Pearl. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy’s Funeral Home, Hickman’s Harbour. Visitations on Wednesday, November 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. , 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Also on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 12 at 2 p.m. from Britannia United Church with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Britannia.
