It is with great sadness that the family of the late John (Bud) Robert Fowler age 82 of Amherst announce his sudden passing on Friday, December 9, 2011 at home.
He was a son of the late John and Gladys (Rushton) Fowler.
He and his wife Gwen enjoyed camping and fishing in their younger years.
Bud worked at Enheat in his earlier years and later worked at home doing auto body work before he retired.
He loved golfing was an active golfer until he was 80 years old. Bud enjoyed his garden for many years.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by two sons Wayne (Gwen) and Raymond both of Amherst, three grandchildren Lisa, Raymond Jr. and Deanna, five great grandchildren Ashley, Trystan, Laura, Taylor and Joey and several nieces and nephews.
Bud was predeceased by his wife the former Gwendaline Gould and five sisters Grace MacDonald, Florence MacKenzie, Hilda Newell, Jean Barker and Anna Carter.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, NS (667-9906)
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 11 a.m. from Campbell’s Chapel with Archdeacon Glenn Eason officiating.
Interment will take place in the Amherst Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Bud’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
