Little, Wendell R. - 85, Bible Hill and formerly of Wentworth, passed away with his family by his side Friday, December 9, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Wentworth, Wendell was a son of the late Arthur and Myrtle (Kennedy) Little. Wendell was a lifelong resident of Wentworth. He began his working life as a carpenter Together with his wife Gwen he later owned and operated W.R. Little General Store in Wentworth for over 20 years. In his retirement, Wendell enjoyed woodworking and traveling. Wendell is survived by his wife of 55 years the former Gwen Patriquin; daughter Linda (Abbey) Aucoin, Truro; son, Leigh (Cheryl Bartlett), Truro; grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley Aucoin, Colby and Riley Little; sister, Evelyn Little, Tatamagouche; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Walt. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, December 11, in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home, Wentworth (447-2930). The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 12, in Wentworth United Church with Rev. Brian Delong officiating.
