CORMIER, HERVE G. - Herve G. Cormier, 90, of Residence O Bons Soins, Shediac and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Born in Memramcook, he was the son of the late Theotime (Tim) and Ida (Melanson) Cormier. Herve was retired from the CNR Stores Department with 41 years service and attended Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church. Herve enjoyed fixing radios and TV’s, watching hockey and baseball games, playing cards, was an avid walker and enjoyed socializing with his family and friends. Herve will be sadly missed by his daughters and sons, Jeannine Simpson, Patricia Cormier and Rachelle Cormier, all of Calgary, AB; Leonard Cormier (Louise) of Dieppe, Roger Cormier (Sharon) of Ajax, ON, Rheal Cormier (Simone) of Moncton; loving grandchildren, Neil (Linda), Renee Hill (Todd), Michel, Micheline, Lise Cormier-Boudreau (Serge), Marc (France), Danielle , Claudine Savoy (Ross); precious great grandchildren, Lauren, Mitch, Paige, Gabrielle; sisters, Florence LeBlanc of Dieppe, Lucie Marsh (Gerald) of Miramichi, Yolande Gaudet (Edgar) of Halifax and Helene Beemer (Mel) of Regina; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine (Bourgeois) Cormier (2003); son, Michel (1964); brothers, Romeo and Henri; sisters, Lilliane, Edna, Marianne.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:00 am, Rev. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Reception at the Club d’Age d’Or following the Mass.
