On November 11th, 2009 after a lengthy struggle with cancer Ronald George Matthew peacefully left this world on his journey to the other side, with his family by his side.
Ron was born in Kamloops, British Columbia on September 10th, 1949. He was 60 years old.
He loved the land where he lived and worked in Chu Chua. He spent many years working in forestry but his passion was the Seven Eagles Ranch.
He is predeceased by his father Wilfred, his mother Delores, his brother Sam, and his sisters Bertha, Eleanor, and Norma.
He is survived by his wife Geri, his daughters Sharnelle, Tina, Cheryl, and his granddaughter Teya. He also leaves behind his siblings Willy (Cindy), Martha, Keith (Susan) and aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins; as well as his extended family Jerry Jack, Mike and Shelley Loring and their families.
The wake will be held in his home on Friday, November 13th, 2009 at 409 Dunn Lake Road in Chu Chua (15 kms North of Barriere). The Service will be held on Saturday, November 14th, 2009 at the Chu Chua (Simpcw First Nation) Community Hall at 1:00 P.M. There will be a celebration of life at the North Thompson Fall Fair Hall following the service. There will be food and beverages provided, no alcohol please.
In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice home in Kamloops, BC.
