O’BRIEN, Shirley Anne – 57, Bible Hill, passed away suddenly, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, December 16, 2011, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born January 26, 1954, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Hazel (Scott) O’Brien. Shirley worked at Scotia Furs for many years until its closing in 1997. She loved her cats and enjoyed watching daily soap operas. Shirley is survived by her sisters, Cathy O’Brien, Dartmouth; Betty (Blayze) Sanford, Walton, Hants Co.; Judy White (Tim Parr), Walton, Hants Co.; Annette (Shawn) Sheppard, Tennecape, Hants Co.; Debbie (Larry) Crossley, Scotch Village, Hants Co.; brother, Joe (Michele) O’Brien, Mantua, Hants Co.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Mary in infancy; brother, Carl in infancy. A private graveside service has been held in Noel Cemetery.
