DAVIDSON, DUNCAN JOHN - Duncan John Davidson, loving husband of Marguerite (Maloney) Davidson, passed away on Saturday December 17, 2011 at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing. Born 1922 in Blackville, NB he was the son of the late Duncan and Ethel (MacDonald) Davidson. Duncan was a Veteran of WWII serving in the 1st Battalion Black Watch as a Stretcher Bearer. He worked as an orderly for the DVA for 16 years and worked for the Corp of Commissionaires for 10 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 69, a life member of the Knights of Columbus # 6595 Glen Falls and the Simonds Lions Club. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Marguerite of 62 years, son Brian Davidson (Mary Ellen) of Bains Corner; cherished grandchildren Stewart, Robert, Scott and Clinton; sisters Shirley McCully of Massachusetts and Elva Malchow of Silverwood, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Theresa Davidson and Carmel Avelino; twin brother Hubert Davidson; grandson Craig Joseph Davidson.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Monday December 19 and Tuesday, December 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A tribute to a Veteran Service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Church on Wednesday December 21, 2011 at 12:05 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
